Answer Hello David, If the brass arm is in the opening of the solenoid and you are only getting crushed ice then the solenoid would be bad. To access the solenoid you would pull ice bin out. On either side of the auger housing there are screws that you would remove. Once removed you would pull out the auger motor assembly out and you can get the solenoid out.

Answer Hello Mike, If you do not hear the motor trying to turn then you should check to make sure that the ice lever is making contact with the switch. If it is not then you have a problem with the lever. Also if it is just cubed ice that will not come through then check to make sure that the solenoid is in the down position.

Answer Hello Jim. Check and see if the fill tube is frozen and clogged. If so, thaw it and clear out the clog and replace the water valve. If there is not clog and power to the valve during cycle, replace the water valve 242252702. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hi Robert. Remove the ice bin. Clean the entire ice bin and the crusher blades at the front. Make sure the control rod (brass colored) on the bottom of the ice bin move freely. Dry the entire bin and blades with paper towels and a hair dryer. With the door switch taped shut, keep the door open and select crush at the fountain control board. Push in the ice paddle and see if the crush solenoid part # 241675801 is stuck open or shut. It should cycle up and down as selected. Make sure it receives the 120 vac at the solenoid when selected. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. Thank You.

Answer Hi Chris. The solenoid part # 241675701 is the ice crusher / cube solenoid. It is magnetic and when you choose crush, it lifts up the #13 so when the the ice passes by it it will hold the cube against the cutter blades until all the ice desired is finished. Is the chute flapper not opening when you desire cubes (common) ? If so then you need the chute damper motor part # 241689301. Make sure the ice bin does not over flow and the bottom of the bin is always clear of ice build up stopping the auger motor from turning.. Take it out and completely dry it. Align the rear of the auger so it aligns with the auger motor upon reinstalling or the door will not close all the way and get undesired results. Thank You.

Answer Hello Sstop. You will want to test for power going to the solenoid when the switch is pressed between cubed and crushed. If there is power there, you will need to replace the solenoid. Answer Hello Sstop. The solenoid is located behind the ice bucket on the back freezer wall. You will need to gain access to the auger motor to access the solenoid. Hope this helps.
