I just bought a replacement right front element AP3706849. The part came without wiring directions. Which wires connect to which post??
Walt for Model Number FEFL64DSF
Answer Hello Walt. You will connect the new element 316418400 the same way the old was connected. Also, there is a wiring diagram on the unit to help you if needed. Frigidaire does not offer instructions on installing this element, so it installs as the old element was installed. If needed, you can post a question on the repair forum for the other technicians to see. Here is a link. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/
Does a non-working duel element automatically mean the element needs to be replaced?
Marty C
Answer Hello Marty. No, you will need to test the element 316418400 and see if it has power coming to it. If not, you will need to replace the switch. If there is power, replace the element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. I just bought this part from you. How do I install it. How do I get the top to raise up to install the heating element?
Mr. Stanton for Model Number fefl79dqh
Answer Mr. Stanton, Here's some general information, that should apply to your range: Raise the main top, disconnect power the the range and open the oven door. Remove the two screws holding front of the top to the front frame and lift the top up. The elements are held against the glass by two bars, one for the two front elements and one for the two rear elements. The bar is held to the main top by two screws on one end and a tab on the other. Remove the two screws and swing the bar down.Mark and disconnect the wires. There may be a slight difference, but this should get you through the repair. Thanks and Good Luck.

How do you remove the ceramic glass top?
Curt for Model Number FEFL88ACB
Answer Hello Curt! If you open the oven of that appliance and look into the cavity on the top ceiling you should be able to see a few screws. Once these are removed you should be able to lift it up. If you cannot, you may want to check the back and remove the screws on the hinge. If you still cannot remove the top, you may want to visit our repair forum. The technicians there may be more able to help you remove that part. I will include a link to the forum in this message. I hope this info helps!
