My washer "walks" a lot and acts out of balance. Would this be the shocks or the adjustable feet not being correctly adjusted?

Answer David, You will want to check the levelness of the unit to make sure that it is leveled. Also check the feet to make sure that the rubber on them are not damaged. If the rubber is damaged this could cause issues with walking. You can check the shocks by pushing down on the tub and if it springs back then the shocks are ok.

I am ordering suspension springs. I don't see a rear suspension spring on my washer. Does this model have a rear suspension spring?

As above, I have replaced the shocks, but still have a lot of play. How do I know if hte springs are ok? I removed the upper cover and they are not broken and seem to be secure. How do I check the inner tub to see if its loose?

Answer Hello Tyler. The springs should be fine. You need to move the inner tub back and forward and up and down. If there is play, the outer tub assembly will need to be replaced.

RE: Replace upper springs: To raise the tub assembly, does this involve disconnecting the drain assembly and removing a pin from each of the lower shock absorbers? Thanks.

Answer Hello John. Remove the pins from the lower shocks. Do not need to disconnect the drain to raise the unit enough to replace the springs 134144700.

I have replaced both shock absorber suspension units (one broke so I replace both, good instructions!) and now I am trying to replace the suspension springs. How do I do that? The tension is so tight on them I can not unhook them. I have removed a pin from the shock suspension and that helped a very little, but not enough.

Answer Hello Johnl. Lift the tub assembly and place boards under the tubs to support the weight. Then you can easily remove the suspension springs 134144700.

About 45 days ago, one (right) shock absorber broke on my Kenmore front load washer. I replaced both of them. Now the right spring broke. I was going to order one and saw that you think I should replace them both. Is there anything else associated with this problem that should be replaced? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer Hello Marty, I always replace both springs 134144700 anytime a shock breaks. These are all of the parts which support the entire tub assembly plus the weight of the water and wet clothes. Anytime a suspension problem has existed, undue stress is applied to the rest of the parts, so since you have replaced the struts already, the springs are the only remaining parts that are advisable to replace.

I replaced both broken shock absorbers, on my Frigidaire LTF1670DS0 front loader washer today,and the drum still(albeit a whole lot less)has some sloppiness in it's rotation,and some significant front to back play,and makes way too much banging noise in the spin cycle.Could the springs that I saw in the schematic of the drum assembly(sort of on top of the assembly)have broken as well,when the first shock failed,while in spin cycle?

Answer You can check the two springs by removing the top assembly. If the are ok, you will need to check and see if the inner tub is loose. If so you could have a bad tub bearing.131525500
