After getting a new drum, dead because of your choice to make a pot-metal spider which you know will corrode, and using cold galvanizing paint on that new spider, I put the washer back together, but was unsure about where to put the hose end of the air chamber. It looks like it should go on the nipple from the water level sensor ( Frigidaire Part Number AP3874058). Is this correct?
On my first sentence, why won't you cast the spider, dip it in zinc, and then attach it to the drum? You could guarantee the machine for 10 years at least, blow your competition out of the water, and make more money.
Answer Hello Ben. Sorry, we are not the manufacturer, we are a parts supplier helping DIY'ers. The manufacturer makes the parts for the units. However, as for the hose, it does attach to the pressure switch nipple. Thanks.
my washer at the end of the cycle has water fill the tub until it forces the door open and spills water everywhere. i have to turn off the water supply to stop it from running.
Answer Chad, If the machine is filling with water, and you unplug the power cord from the outlet, does the water stop flowing ? If so, you'll need to check or replace the watyer level switch 134433701 and air tube assembly 131789900. If the water continues to flow, with the power cord unplugged, then you'd have a fill valve issue and will need to check the wiring and replace the valve assembly 134190200.
Water will not go into my washer. I changed the door lock switch and now the machine will run through all cycles but still no water. I replaced the door switch because you had to wiggle the door to make the machine work. I checked the wiring plugs. They can only go in one way.
Answer Hello Tony,
I certainly don't want to make you mad, but first check to make sure the water hasn't been turned off. If the water is on, I would check to insure the water valve is getting voltage when it should be filling. If it is, the water inlet valve 131974700. If it isn't getting voltage, I would check to be sure the main control is getting voltage. If it is, then check that the voltage is leaving the main control. If not, change the main control. If so, check the pressure switch. You should find a wiring diagram on the unit either behind the kick panel, or under the main top.
Washer will not cycle through, only way to cycle is to turn knob by hand.
Answer Hi Mike. You need to replace the timer part # 134014700. It should turn automatically. Thank You.
Drum can be moved by hand but will not spin in cycle. What part do I need?
Answer Hello Sandra. Check the door lock 137523400 and make sure it is locking. If it is ok, then test and see if your getting power to the motor. If there is no power to the motor, check and see if the speed control board 131725300 is getting power. If it has power, but no power to the motor, then replace the board. If it does not have power to the speed controler, then the main board is bad. Hope this helps.
