Hello, I check the voltage from the switch and probed it on the element on the 2 prong it showed 23.5v and on the 3 prong it showed the same. Does this mean the element is out?

Hi I checked the voltage on the dual element on the two wires coming from the switch. It reads 23 v I checked the other 3 wires going to the element and it read the same thing. My middle burner does not come on does this mean with what I've provided that the element is burnt out?

Answer Jason, Based on the post, you have a bad infinite switch, or power supply to the switch. At the infinite switch, with power applied to the range, if you put your meter probes on the L1 (red wire) and L2(black wire) terminals, do you have 220 VAC. ? Be careful, don't shock yourself, or short out the wires, if you have the voltage, you'll need the switch. Good Luck and Thanks

My left big burner does not get hot when I turn on the knob. What part do I need to purchase to repair it and how do I remove the cover to repair it?

Answer Hi Joanne. You will need to remove all power from the unit. You will need to pull off the knob from the front shaft. You will need to pull out the range to access the back. Take off the top control panel rear cover. Then you can remove the front 2 screws that hold the switch to the front side of the panel. Then you will have the switch in your hand. Carefully replace wires one at a time from the old switch to the new one. This way you do not cross any wires.There should be a eiring diagram folded in a plastic bag behind the front lower storage drawer if needed. The dual switch is part # 316238201. Thank you.

I have a smooth top stove, and the right front burner has a small and a big element. The problem is I can not control the heat, it is always real hot even if the switch is on simmer. Thanks Brian.

Answer Hello Brian. It sounds like the switch 316238201 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the unit has no control over the heat on the element, the switch is bad. Hope this helps.

WE were finished baking and could not shut off the oven . I shut it off via the circuit panel. Before buying a new range I would consider possible remedy through replacing a part . I need to know which part. Thanks in advance...BB
