HI there, my fridge uses this timer for a defrost mode. Could you confirm that this timer should turn the defrost mode on every twelve hours for about 20 minutes? In my unit the defrost runs for about 12 hours and shuts off for about 20 minutes when the timer clicks and then on again after 20 minutes I suspect my unit is wired wrong or is there perhaps a N/C version of this switch when I should have the N/O?? PS - this is not the compressor running, you can hear that kick on/off normally but there's an almost constant fan/humming sound which I'm assuming is the defrost mode

Does the timer rotate? My freezer runs all the time and never shuts off. Its cold but does not freeze. I looked at the timer dial but it never moves. That's why I think its bad.

Hi, Our fridge runs continuously. Works good, but won't shut-off so eventually everything freezes. Is the T-stat broke or some sort of sensor not working? Thanks.

I have a Kelvinator side by side refrigerator that is getting cold in freezer section, but not in fresh food section. It is not freezing anywhere except the bottom of the freezer, but only a small amount there. I need to know possible things that could be wrong.

AppliancePartsPros e-analysis: On my Freezer 2539287413, In my Timer 216517400, the compressor-timer terminal(1-4), on the 'points' type terminal leaf's showed burnt/globule, and high R.. due to start-up arcing after defrost cycle .. and may have stuck .. and may-be this is a current surging problem on start-up ... Have noticed the current rating difference of 15A,1/2hp for the Timer 297318010 china; changed to 10A,1/3hp for the 216744400 mexico, with the same Mfgr symbol/logo on them ???, that Kenmore recommends .... This would seem to be related to my problem, was their a fix and/or a cost reduction at the same time ??? Which part are you shipping ?? What are your shipping charges ??
