water is leaking from the bottom of the fridg. I turned off the water supply to the icemaker and it stopped.Would it be a hose that is causin the leak?
Answer Sharon, " I turned off the water supply to the icemaker and it stopped." would indicate the issue isn't in the tubes. You'll need to start at the fill valve 242252702 and water supply tube from the faucet. If the tube(s) were the problem, the water would leak when the ice maker or water dispenser were used or activated. Since the leak stopped when the water supply was shut off, this indicates an issue in the supply "side" of the system(water valve or loose/cracked connection in the water supply line).
I replaced main supply line, still leaks, line from supply line connection to the filter is leaking. A small crack in the line about 4 inches from supply line connection. How do I replace that line. It goes through the body to the filter I need to find out how to replace it. I took a picture, There a way to send it to you,
Answer Logan, The best option would be to replace the complete water tube, from the valve to the filter base 240396002 . You'll need to turn the water supply to the refrigerator off. Disconnect the damaged water tube from the inlet valve, then remove the filter, then remove the filter base from the back wall and disconnect the tube from the connector on the base. Reverse the procedure and you should be fine.
