Hello! We have water flowing from the water dispenser but no ice. We replaced the water filter and housing 11/2012 and everything worked fine for a bit. Ice maker is not making ice. It did for awhile then we manually flipped the arm so it cranked out a few pieces now and then. Now...nothing. I am thinking its either a tube or a valve. Can you point me in a direction so that I can troubleshoot these. I cannot locate a diagram to check the water tubes/valves running to the ice maker.

Answer Hello M. H., You will want to pull the icemaker out and check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. This is one of the most common reasons for the icemaker to not put water into icemaker. If the fill tube is frozen then you will need to clear the obstruction and replace the water valve 242252702 due to a seeping valve. You will also want to check the filter since it was replaced in november. In areas that the water has a lot of minerals it may be necessary to replace sooner than every 6 months.

The water tube that connects to the valve that is closest to the back leaks when we get water out of the door and I found a split in it. What line do I need and how hard is it to replace.

I am getting water to my icemaker, but when it is turned on, it leaks out all over the freezer. I think I may be missing a part, but I am not sure. Where the "water spicket" comes out of the back of the freezer, it does not line up with the trough, where it seems the water should flow into the ice tray. Should there be a piece that goes between these two parts? Thanks!

Water gets to the block but there ice ice in the block so water spills over top into ice bucket. I have defrosted the block (inlet) and am waiting to see what happens in the next ice cycle. Any idea how the block with the slope to the cube maker clear, froze to begin with?

Answer Chris, A couple of things to consider, first is the freezer temperature too cold ? you want an air temperature of 3 to 5 dgrs. or a product temperature of 0 dgrs, but nothing below 0 dgrs. Is the refrigerator and ice maker level?, so the water enters and flows properly into the ice maker. The most common issue for frozen fill tubes 241796401 and inlet 5304456671 is a "seaping" fill valve 242252603. Water droplets build up and turn into a block of ice. Thanks

The tube between the water line on the back of the freezer and the ice maker fill cup freezes up every couple of weeks I have to disconnect the water line from the plastic tube and take that out of the back of the freezer and thaw it out under running water then reinstall into the back of the freezer and reconnect the water line and try to repack the small piece of insulation around the water line can you tell me why this freezes and how I can remedy this problem. Thanks

I'm not getting water out of the dispenser. Ice works fine. I disconnected the quick coupler connecting the water line from the solenoid to the door and water flows when I push the switch. The line located inside the door is plugged. I blew air into it and after several tries the line cleared. Question. Is a one way valve located in the line inside the door? I don't think the line is freezing because I could hear a clicking sound when I apply air. When the line clears with air pressure no water or ice blows out.

Answer Hello Greg. No, there is no valve or solenoid in the door for the water. The line is frozen and will need to be cleared out for the water to work properly, if there is water at the bottom of the door. Hope this helps.

The ice maker is not making ice. The fridge will not pump water into tray.

If it is and the valve is not filling the valve will need to be replaced, part number 242252702.
