I just replaced the water intake valve and water gushes between that and housing unit when I start washer. It was stored over winter. I don't see any obvious cracks
There should be seals in the opening where the valve goes into the dispenser assembly. You will want to make sure that the seals are not bad. If so they are not available separately and you would need to get a new dispenser assembly.
My washer, model gltf2940fs1, has stopped working and no water goes in. The last load I washed, it did not make the last spin and the clothes were wet.
Answer Hello Jose,
If the machine drained the water but did not spin you either have a bad connection, a bad motor control board 134743500, or a bad motor 137043000. You should pull the tech sheet and run the diagnostic mode to pull the fault codes for more specific troubleshooting information.
How do you remove cracked water inlet and if any special tool for removal other then a regular household tool?
Answer Hello Leah! No special tools are needed. There are screws in the back of the washer to hold the top panel on. Remove those screws and slide the top panel off. Once the panel is removed you'll have access to the valve to remove and replace. Hope this information helps you, thanks!
You show this item is out of stock. do you know if this will be very long of a wait ?
Answer Hello Gary. Sorry, the manufacturer is not showing a date. As soon as we get it, if you place an order, it will ship. You are not charged until the part ships.
Does the valve assembly come with the black O-ring washer? Or is this little important part available without buying the whole assembly?
If you are referring to the black washers that are on the end of the valve where the water line attaches to the valve then these washer come with the hoses and not the valve itself. They should be seated in the hose where it connects to the valve.
My washer isn't dispensing detergent. What do I need to check?
Answer Hello Ruth. Try cleaning the dispenser drawer. If issue continues, replace the housing 134446130.
Water leaks into drum while not in use.
Answer Hello Lee. You will need to order and replace the water valve on the unit.
My washer is not allowing water to run in. Do I need to replace the inlet valve?
You will want to shut off water supply and pull the hoses from the inlet valve and check for clogging of the inlet screens. If clogged clean and retry. If still no water check to make sure that there is 120 vac to the valve and make sure that water supply is on and if there is power but no water then replace the valve 134371220.
