Our dishwasher is giving us an error code. Code "uo". This appears after about 30 seconds of filling. What is this code telling us?
John B for Model Number FDB4315LFCO
Answer Hello John,
The UO error code indicates the Vent open. While in the wash cycle the main control board does not receive signal from the vent assembly that the vent plunger is closed. The plunger status is sensed with an optical sensor in the vent. Check the wiring between the vent assembly and the main control board. If the wiring is correct then replace the vent assembly 5304467317. If the error still exist then replace main control 154757002.

Hi, we are getting the UO Error Code (Vent Open) on our Frigidaire dishwasher (Model #: GLD4050RHS1). I was able to remove the vent assembly, clean it thoroughly and reassembly. I can hear the motor turning (and actually see it attempting to open the vent when the dishwasher isn't pushed back into the counter), but I still get the error. I was planning on purchasing a new vent assembly and installing it, but I'm not sure it will make a difference. If this part is failing, would the motor still turn?
Jerry for Model Number GLD4050RHS1
Answer Hi. Behind the controls or behind the toe kick is a supplied tech sheet that allow the unit to be tested. Follow the diagnostic test mode and it will toggle each device individually and if needed it will pop up a fault code of the circuit needing diagnosed. The ER/Uo code is the vent assy. part # 154861101 failure. Make sure it is plugged in. Look inside (remove the inner door panel) and find the service sheet to explain the codes. Thank You.

I have a ER/ou error code. Your schematic shows the vent assembly pt # 154773301 but now where it is located in relation to the dishwasher body can you clarify where this part is located. And if it can be installed by non service techs.
Don R for Model Number FGHD2433KF1
Answer Don, The vent motor assembly 154861101 is located in the right rear top corner of the dishwasher tub assembly, so you'll need to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. " Drying System The Drying system consists of a Fan/Vent assembly, Heater, and Air Baffles. The way the systems performs is; as the dry portion of a wash cycle is reached the control activates the heater, if selected, and opens the vent door, located in the top right rear of tub, this allows the vent fan to draw in outside air resulting in hot air being forced out the bottom of the
outer door panel." The codes you supplied indicate two issues for your dishwasher: "Er"-Membrane Switch failure- When the control verifies that any of the pads on the membrane switch has been closed for one minute the failure will appear in the display. "uo"- Vent open - When in a wash cycle the control does not receive the proper indication that the vent is closed. The control will try to reseat the vent if after 5 attempts the vent does not close the failure will appear. The cycle will not start. Both repairs can be performed by the basic "do it yourselfer", with basic hand tools and a little time.

How do I remove the vent assembly? Does the dishwasher need to be removed from countertop? We are getting the Er ou message?
Thanks!
Ed for Model Number FDB4050LHS0
Answer Hello Ed. Try turning off the breaker and resetting the unit. If the code continues, you will need to order and replace the control board 154757002 in the unit.

I am replacing the vent on my Frigidaire dishwasher. I bought a new vent #154773301. The new vent has a quick connect for the wires. My old one has all the wires individually plugging in to things (fan, motor, other wires, etc.) Am I missing some kind of wiring harness, or do I have the wrong part?
Jeff for Model Number FDB4315LFCO

I am getting an error code ER/UO ( Vent will not close ). How do you test the Fan Dry/Vent assembly before replacing it. Could the same error code come from the main circuit board?
