Water will not stop running in the dishwasher untill you cut off water. When you turn water back on the water stops running.
Answer Hello Frank. It sounds like the valve is the problem and will need to be replaced. When you turn off the water it removes the pressure, and the valve closes. Hope this helps.

Where is the water inlet valve and can it be purchased separately?
Answer Hello Ron. AJU72992601 is the water valve for the model number you provided, and it is located on the back of the refrigerator behind the bottom panel.
Where do I look to locate the water inlet valve? Is it accessable without removing machine from built in location?
Answer Hello Susie. Yes, turn off the power and the water to the unit. Then remove the toe panel under the front door on the unit. Now you can access the water valve on the left side of the unit. You will remove the water line going to the valve and unplug the wires going to the valve and the supply line.
The water will not shut off.
Answer Hello Sandy,
Here is how you check for the cause of the issue. Turn the water on and plug the machine on. Start it filling and unplug the machine. If the water stops, the issue is either something holding the float switch up or a bad float switch. If the water doesn't stop until the water is turned off at the supply, the issue is the water inlet valve.
What is the purpose of the water inlet valve?
Answer Hello John. The water valve is used to let water into the unit when power is applied to the water valve on the unit.
The dishwasher is not cleaning dishes well, especially top rack. Spray arms seem to move, I tried Dishwasher magic already. Just tested inlet valve. Resistance reads 1000 ohms. Is that in the reasonable range? Any more ideas? Thanks, Greg
Answer Hello Greg,
This issue is normally caused by a screen or filter stopping up. You should remove the lower screens and check for any clogs. If the unit is filling to within an inch of the heating element, the issue will not be the water valve. This is usually due to the "base" filter 154775402 stopping up or the check ball 154246402 sticking.
