Is the GE WB30X359 surface element for a 120VAC unit?
Answer Hello Richard,
This is the electric surface element for a 240Vac unit.
Hi, I checked the part you suggested, but the element in my home only has two ends, not four as the other part has. Also it is on a hinge and has a white ceramic block as pictured on the part number AP2027832, so I think this is the part needed. My question is - is there any soldiering required in replacing this element? (I see soldier tin is mentioned in the instruction leaflet).
Answer Hello Karen,
The part listed WB30X359 is a factory authorized replacement part. The instructions give you the instructions on how to retrofit the part to your unit. It is the only part endorsed by the manufacturer for the repair of this model. The instructions explain in detail how to install it for proper operation. For the matching 8 inch element order AP2027829. Includes the ceramic terminal blocks, clips and screws for mounting.
Thanks for your previous info, but what is a terminal block for part #AP2027832?
Answer Hello Kelly. It is included in the kit WB30X359. The terminal block is the two ceramic pieces in the kit. Hope this helps.
Are there instructions available for replacing a burner?
Answer Hello Kelly. The element WB30X359 is on a hinge. You will disconnect the power to the unit. Then lift the element and disassemble the terminal block on the old element. Lift the old element out and install the new element. Reassemble the new terminal block on the new element and reconnect the power. Hope this helps.
