Top of the stove and the broiler work perfectly. However, when I turn the oven on to 350 degrees, it only heats up to 250 degrees. If I turn it up to 400 degrees, it will only raise the temp about 20 degrees. I tried adjusting the thermometer up 35 degrees but their was no change in the temperature. What do I need to do.

My GE oven bake element is fried. Literally, on Christmas one spot turned bright red, and after the turkey came out it snapped at a different point. The oven barely heats now. I need an element, but when I type in the model number, it says the element isn't compatible, but I go back and search again, it brings up the same element. I want an element that will work. Which one is right?
