I ordered a baking element for this model oven and when I received, the connector was not the same as the one I need to replace. The ends were different and would not connect. Is there more than one replacement part for this model oven?

Top of the stove and the broiler work perfectly. However, when I turn the oven on to 350 degrees, it only heats up to 250 degrees. If I turn it up to 400 degrees, it will only raise the temp about 20 degrees. I tried adjusting the thermometer up 35 degrees but their was no change in the temperature. What do I need to do.
