James W
Answer Hello James. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced.
Bake element fried.
Question: I removed the fried bake element. What voltage should I measure across the terminals to this part when oven controller is turned on? I am not sure if I need the controller as well.
Thank you.
Rick for Model Number RB787WB1WW
Answer Hello Rick,
When you have the new bake element installed and the controller turned on bake you should have 240 vac across the heating element. If you do not then check from bake to L1 on the control board. Still no power then replace controller.
How do I put this part in to my oven.
David for Model Number RB787WB1WW
Answer Hello David. Disconnect the power and remove the screws securing the element in the back of the unit. Pull the old element out and unplug the wires going to the old element. Plug the wires onto the new element WB44X10009 and reinstall the element into the oven. Hope this helps.
