Dear folks, The overhead LED light in the refrigerator does not go on when either door is open. I checked for power (12v?) at the connector. No power. Replaced the 'main control board' with WR55X10956. Still no light and no power at the light connector. Any ideas? Thanks, Jerry

For the last 2 years my freezer will just go to about 15 or 20 then go back to freezing -1. This happens about every 3 days. Ice melts things thaw then it goes back to normal. The fridge follows the same exact issue at the same time cycle?

I have had continual problems with my GE profile icemaker and water dispenser. Recently I replaced the water inlet valve that I ordered from you, and it worked except the water flow starts strong and quickly slows to a trickle. The water dispenser finally stopped altogether, and I used a blow dryer to thaw the lines and it’s working, except it stills starts strong and slows quickly. I cannot find any clogging. Is it a problem with the “mother board”?

Hi. I have a GE Profile French Door, Bottom Freezer unit. It stopped cooling earlier this week, and a service tech came and diagnosed that the evap fan motor needed replacement (tiny white one with skinny 3" fan shaft). It would run, but not if it stopped in the wrong position (one open winding, maybe?). My wife was here today when another tech came to install the replacement motor, and afterward reported that the fridge was completely out of order. He suggested replacing the mainboard. I am skeptical, and concerned that if it is the board, then maybe something was done that fried the board. Replacing with another could render it useless too, maybe? I am technically inclined, but have no service manual... what should I do next to determine my current issue? Thanks in advance, this seems a great forum. :)

This morning I got up and my fridge was 52 (set on 37) and my freezer was -15 (set in 0). I started looking into it and there was an inch of ice on my freezer floor. I got behind the fridge and I could see the compressor and fan running fine. Would this be a bad mother board.

Yesterday for seemingly no reason our freezer and then refrigerator stopped working. The fans were running but no cold air was coming out, we trashed all the food from the freezer and moved the fridge stuff into coolers unplugged it for ten minutes o so and plugged it in again. When we got up this morning it was down to and holding the correct temps again. Is it possible it got stuck in defrost mode? would replacing the mother board prevent this problem again?
