I just replaced the circuit board because the start button wouldn't work Now the washer wont fill with water,I switched to field service mode and the water both hot and cold worked fine.
Answer Hello Jo. You will need to check the pressure switch and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Also, blow through the pressure hose to make sure it is not clogged or the air dome on the unit.
I just purchased Genuine GE Washer Electronic Control Board WH12X10405, because the old Control Board was giving me problems trying to start a wash, clicking the button didn't seem to respond. Now that I have replaced the control board the start button is working however the machine just fills with water till it overflows out of the machine. Doesn't seem to matter if you have a small load or large load, the water will just keep coming, This was not an issue prior to replacing the control board. Can this be a calibration issue or perhaps an issue with the control board or other? Assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!
Answer Alex, There is no calibration to make. You do want to check the wiring and the air tube that attach to the water level / pressure switch WH12X10321 and WH41X365 if you forgot to attach the wire harness or kinked or twisted the air hose, the washer will overfill. You can also verify the fill valve WH13X10024 is working correctly, start the washer, as it is filling press in on the timer knob, or unplug the power cord(do this several times) if the stops flowing, the fill valve is operating properly and the issue is in the wiring, switch, or tube.
Will this control panel work with my model?
Answer Hello Frank. Yes, WH12X10405 is the correct board for the unit.
