My GE Profile washer does not always start when the start button is pressed. If you try pressing the button repeatedly it eventually will start and run its cycles as it should. Would the problem be the start button switch? Can you just replace the switch or do you have to replace the circuit board? What part number or numbers do I need? thanks jeff

I purchased Genuine GE Washer Electronic Control Board WH12X10405, because the old Control Board was giving me problems, after installing it the machine wouldn't spin so I returned the part for another hoping the problem was in the control board. Now with the new control board, 88 and all three lights start to flash as soon as I plug it in and no options are responding. What could this be and is it possible it has something to do with the machine not going into a spin cycle from before?

I just purchased Genuine GE Washer Electronic Control Board WH12X10405, because the old Control Board was giving me problems trying to start a wash, clicking the button didn't seem to respond. Now that I have replaced the control board the start button is working however the machine just fills with water till it overflows out of the machine. Doesn't seem to matter if you have a small load or large load, the water will just keep coming, This was not an issue prior to replacing the control board. Can this be a calibration issue or perhaps an issue with the control board or other? Assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

The machine will start a wash cycle but not finish. It may stop at around 34 minutes left. I will adjust the knob to drain and rinse and it will say 9 minutes on the timer. It will pump out for 2 minutes and the timer will count down to 7 minutes then reset back to 9 minutes without ever spinning up. I am assuming this is the control board but wanted input before I ordered one. Thanks for any assistance.

I have only one wash cycle that works. It started out only one cycle didn't work, but over time the other cycles have stopped working. Do you think this could be the select cycle board.

I just plugged the machine back in today and the start button worked. I did try leaving it disconnected for awhile yesterday and trying it again with no success. As an fyi, the machine failed when my wife went to do another load of laundry after she had just finished one. Also, the light is blinking on the control board of the motor. Robert

Similar to a question that is already listed. My start button wont work. From time to time it would not work but would eventually turn on. Now it has stopped all together. I checked the wire with the fuseable link and it seems to be ok. Is it ever the control board in the console that fails or is it always the one on top of the motor? The one in the console is cheaper than having to buy the whole motor. Thanks.
