The Broiler coil burned clean through and the metal kept burning. The Off switch did not do anything to stop the coild from heating. I had to turn the power off to the stove. Of course I need a new coil, but is the "off" switch bad ? THANK YOU

Answer Robert, Based on your post, you definitely need a new broil element WB44K5009 Before you replace the control WB27T10282 , When you replace the element, Check for 120 to 220 VAC across the two wires that attach to the element, There should be no voltage, unless the relay on the clock or wiring is damaged. Answer Hello Michelle. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. The remove the element from the brackets and remove the screws in the back of the oven holding the element in place. Pull the element forward and remove the wires from the element. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
Broiler element stopped working suddenly. Is there anything else that could be wrong, or just replace element. Easy to do yourself?

Answer Hello Joanna! Make sure that the element is getting the proper 240v. If it is and is not working, you will need the broil element only. The part number is WB44K5009. Thanks!
