The pilot lights up in the oven but the burner does not light and there is no gas smell. why would the burner in the oven not get the gas?
Test for 3.2-3.6 vac at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Hi I can only make out the first 4 numbers of my model number. I have the GE gas over model xl44. I need to replace the right front burner valve. Can I use the burner valve AP3773466 for this?
Answer Brent, without the full appliance model number we will not be able to verify if this valve will work on your appliance. Check the part to see if there are any part numbers on it, this can help locate the part as well. Can you check the model number again and provide any other letters or numbers on the number? Thanks.
I was wondering if this valve has the low flame adjustment screw or if this is the version that is not adjustable?
Answer Hello Joshua. Look inside the shaft of the burner valve WB21K10050. If there is no adjustment screw, then the valve is non adjustable. Hope this helps.
How is burner valve WB21K10050 replaced?
Answer Hello Nick. To replace this valve you will need to remove the main top of your appliance. After the top has been removed you should have access to the valves to remove and replace them. I hope this info helps.
