does my machine have a self diagnostic mode, if so how do I use it
Answer Curtis, Yes, your washer has a diagnostic and test mode. To enter or exit the test mode: Press power button to clear any current cycles. Note: The display must be blank to proceed. 2. Disconnect the power for 30 seconds. Reconnect power and within 30 seconds of reconnecting power: Press signal button. Press delay start button. Press signal button. Press delay start button. (The door will lock, then will display t01.) Note: A washer left in the test mode will exit the test mode and unlock the door after a period of 2 hours. t01 Model ID Verifies (or sets on new board) the proper model id. t02 Error Codes, Lists up to 10 control-detected problems, by pressing the Start/Pause button. You should be able to remove the lower access panel, and find the tech data information sheet attached to the left side of the cabinet interior near the motor control board, if it hasn't been removed and / or been lost.
Washer stopped working. Lights on control board botton flash 9 times, then stop for a second & flash again.
Answer Hello Jim,
You should pull the tech sheet and use the machines diagnostic mode to determine the failure. To recall an error code:
• Wake the machine by pressing any button
• Wait 5 seconds
• Press and hold the Start and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously
• All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LEDs. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the Start and Pause Cancel buttons are pressed.
Purchased AP3995160 (WH12X10355). What could be the cause of it being stuck on pump. It will not take in water. Need to know how to program, if it needs to be re-programed. Also purchased the door lock latch. That is working fine. I can not receive emails. Can this be posted on line? Thank you
Answer Hello Mr. Orsini,
This unit should be put into the self-diagnostic mode to determine the circuit that should be checked out. This is the best starting place on an electronically controlled unit like this. You could replace parts all day long without ever correcting the problem without using the on-board electronics to diagnose this type issue. I would pull the hose off of the pressure switch and blow through it to make sure it isn't clogged in the tub end and while I would suspect the pressure switch, the electronics could pinpoint the issue in a different circuit, depending on the fault code stored in its' memory.
My GE front load Adora washer all the lights are flashing but it will not wash?
To properly assist you we will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
Washer will not run. Power will come on, and a red "lock" lights up. Other panel lights are on but when pushing buttons to change setting lights stay the same. Went in to test mode had error code e23, and e70. Run water level control test and all worked. This only leaves e70 I can see no visible problems with the connection to the control panel.
Answer Hello Tom. E23 Flood protect
drain. Check water valve functions - t08 for hot water, t09
for cold water.
Check pressure switch foam contacts - t06 - fi rst

Off balance loads with heavy vibration can cause

Ensure all keys can be operated freely without
Replace control panel if actions do not resolve.
I was just given this unit .I found the tech sheet and ran all of the functions .they all seemed to work correctly when in the test mode.however when you run it through the cycles for wash it does not spin even in the rinse and spin cycle...it has an error code of e22. Which references a water issue ...I have cleaned all of the filters...I am guessing it is a control board or could it be the inverter. ...please help ..thanks in advance
Answer Richard, you're on track, sort of. E22 does indicate a water fill issue " E22 > Fill timeout - No fill/slow fill" If you're sure you have plenty of water pressure and flow at the faucets, and you've cleaned the hose screens and the fill valve screens, and there's still an issue the next thing to replace is the fill valve WH13X10023 not the control. If there is plenty of water through the fill valve then you want to disconnect the air tube WH41X10129 from the pressure switch WH12X10522 and blow in the end of the hose to make sure it is not clogged with debris or sediment and not twisted or kinked.
My Washer locks then unlocks, then locks water fills for maybe 5 secs then pump comes on. Counter counts down but nothing else happens, I checked the error code and reset it and it came back 2 times as E54.Any advice, Thanks in advance
The E54 error code indicates Motor drive internal problems. You will want to measure AC outlet voltage, ensure that the correct range is (102Vac to 132 Vac. Check the electrical connections at the drum motor and drive motor. Check harness continuity between the main control and the motor drive. Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, restart the unit. If the fault persists and reappears then replace the motor drive.
