Trying to install new Control Board AP2071638 for water/ice dispenser, but my pictures of "before" now appear pretty lousy and I'm hoping you have some photos of how to reassemble the small black piece (V7-2B27D8-022) which was not part of the new control board but old part. Not sure how to seat properly. Any photos or video reference? Thanks.

online chat POC recommended this part. Part Number: AP2071638 MFG Part Number: WR55X129 Made by: GE but I don't see a video on how to replace this part. Symptons: Fridge not dispensing ice, but it is making ice and dispensing water. We ordered Auger Motor (Ice crushing dispenser from you and installed it but no change to symptom). Auger still not turning to dispense ice. Also I see the solenoid working when I hit cubed ice button, but not when I hit the crushed ice. What are your suggestions? do you think this recommended part will make the Auger turn to dispense ice?

The light switch is working backwards (on is off and vice versa) and every time you go to dispense ice the ice maker will run but the flapper will not open and it will not stop dispensing . I tried unhooking the big plug on control board and everything does not work . I assume this is the power side of the board . Does it sound like I need a new control board ?

Our fridge makes ice but only dispenses water through the door. We had an appliance repairman come out and he said it was the controller board for the ice maker that was faulty, and he was supposed to order and return, but we've never heard from him again. According to him the motor for the icemaker is good, it's just not getting a signal to dispense. I don't have a problem replacing the part, I just want to make sure I'm ordering the correct part. Could you help?

The ice maker dispenser in the door always made a very loud noise when we purchased the house. Now when the flapper is closed it makes a terrible noise all the time, so now we have to leave the flapper open to stop the noise, it still makes a low humming noise when door is closed but not when it is open. The flapper also need to be replaced. Help.

Before cleaning a perfectly operating refrigerator the cold control knob was turned to "off''. The compressor and fans, etc. went off, but interior lights stayed on. After 5 minutes or so (before cleaning), the unattended refrigerator clicked (or popped), the 20 amp home panel breaker tripped, and the refrigerator interior lights went off. The home breaker (and a substitute breaker) instantly trip when they are reset, so the refrigerator has apparently developed some sort of short (while off) that causes the breaker to trip and prevents the refrigerator from operating. Any ideas?

When the water/ice selector switch is in the water position, water is dispensed. When the selector switch is in the crushed ice position, water is dispensed as long as the activation switch in the back of the dispenser is depressed. The ice dispenser door opens and closes about 5 seconds after the activation switch is released. No ice is dispensed. When the selector switch is in the cubed ice position, no water is dispensed, the ice dispenser door opens and closes about 5 seconds after the activation switch is released. No ice is dispensed. This has happened in the past but the issue went away on its own. What part(s) do I need to replace? Thanks.

The water dispenser works, the ice dispenser does not. No sound when the switch is on cube, a click in the dispenser when it is on crushed. Ice maker works fine. Is the dispenser board a good place to start?
