The ice door went crazy. The ice will drop into the chute, but the door will not open. I replaced the crank and solenoid. The door will still not open/close. Do I need a new control board? I put the old solenoid back in.

I am ordering ice/water in door control board for freezer door of my refrigerator/freezer. Looking at the in door assembly, I cannot determine how to remove the covers to get to the control board when it arrives. I do not want to insert a blade or screwdriver and break something doing it the wrong way. I cannot find a video which shows the proper way to do this.

I have a GE Side by side that is about 12 years old, TPX24PRYFWW, I just hooked up the water line and I get water through the door but the ice maker will not produce ice. The ice maker is plugged in and has power. The tines will rotate if the bar is moved up and down. The ice cube trays are not filling with water. The water line is not frozen because the fridge was just plugged in 12 hours before. I swapped the water and ice maker electric and water lines on the valve, pressed the water button in the door and water came out of the ice maker side of the valve. As I was swapping the lines back, the ice maker side went off spraying water on the floor before I had the water line connected. So, I'm not sure what part I need. The stems on the selector switch broke off so I already ordered a control board, which might fix the problem, but I am not sure if there might be a short somewhere else since the ice maker side of the water valve went off after it was hooked back up.

Need just one little thumb piece / knob / handle that attaches to the stems of the sliding switches on this control board, but having a devil of a time trying to find it. Do you have it in black somewhere on this site? Or do you know the part number so I can expand my search? Any help greatly appreciated!

I have a GE-TFX25PRYFBB. The problem I am having is with the ice dispenser. Intermittently, it wont dispense ice, and just hums. I have to stick a tool in and open the chute manulally, and then it works. I replaced the logic board thinking that was it- part # WR55X129, but its still acting up. What else could it be?

I actually have 3 questions all involving ice/freezer. 1. Ice maker was working then stopped. I do not see water filling ice maker but still get water from door. Do I need water valve? 2. Will deliver ice cubes but when we set selector switch to crushed still only cubes. Do I need soleloid? 3. The stalk on water/ice/crushed switch broke off. I have knob but need switch. Do I need to replace complete board? Can you tell me part numbers I need to replace all three if that's what needs. I noticed that some parts that I select for what I think i need come up whirlpool. Appreciate any help you can give me. Scott Berlin

Same as Nartad. Everything but crushed ice. Hear noise & then get ice cubes. Bar switch moves up & down when I physically move it so I'm assuming it's a control problem. What say you?
