The damper harness does not come with the two wires that would connect the light to the harness? Are you supposed to pull the wires off the old harness and connect them to the new one?

Over the last month I have taken the freezer apart several times and defrosted it. Because of my freezer working correctly and the refrigerator keeps getting warmer every day no matter where I set the controls. After about a week the fridge will not go over 50 degrees and the rear element cover is frozen hard. I noticed the damper door is not opening between the freezer and the fridge. How do I test to see which part is not working correctly? Is it probably the damper servo, thermister, defroster or something other? Thank you for your help and the websites Q&A is very important to me because I like to do most work by myself. Have a great day.

I have a side-by-side GE refrigerator GSH25JSTASS and it was not cooling properly. Technician came out and said that the reason refrigerator is not cooling properly is because the heater is out. Which seems reasonable, but I also recall that no cool air is going into the food section. So my question is, "How do you check that the damper/thermister assembly (part no. WR60X10215) is working properly? Technician also stated that the compressor, evaporator and fan seems to be working fine. Any other reason that would cause the refrigerator to be not cooling?
