I have problems with the soap dispenser on my dishwasher Model GSD6900J10CC. The door will not lock. What part shall I replace it with? Do instructions come with the part?
To correct the issue with the door latch on the dispenser not locking, you will need to replace the dispenser assembly. There are not instructions that come with the part but is relatively easy to do. You would start by shutting off the power to the unit. Once the power is off, open the dishwasher door and remove the screws holding the inner door in place. With the screws out, lift the inner door up. There will be screws that hold the dispenser assembly in place that will need to be removed. Disconnect the wire harness and remove the dispenser and install the new one.
How to replace recently ordered part from your company. The part is the soap dispenser assembly.
Answer Hello Raul,
The door components are accessible by removing three screws from each side of inner door and two screws at the bottom of the door. Carefully separate the inner door panel from the outer door panel. Disconnect HMI and 3-digit connector to completely remove the outer door panel. The active vent flapper can be accessed by removing the screws on the fan housing. HMI must be reconnected prior to restoring power. You will see the back side of the dispenser assembly and there is one wire connector with two wires connected to it. The six screws will be removed to remove the old assembly. Re-install the six screw and two wire connector. The door will then be reassembled in the reverse order of disassembly.
My dishes are very spotted. Can the dispenser be clogged and if so, how can I unclog it? Thanks.
Answer Hello Robert. If it is not dispensing properly, the motor WD12X10384 will need to be replaced on the unit. They usually do not clog in the units.
