My husband melted a vinyl tablecloth inside the dryer, melting it to the heat deflector at the back of the drum. I can't find a replacement deflector for my model. Is there a replacement metal deflector or do I have to buy a whole drum assembly??

My dryer seems to not heat up correctly when on High Heat settings/Cottons. I think it starts to heat then shuts the elements off. Can the 3 screws in the middle of the heat deflector be removed in order to remove the deflector from inside the tub?(i.e. can I remove the heat deflector to expose the heating elements with out taking the dryer top off and tub out?
