It's NOT the rollers attached to the sides of the dishwasher. A big plastic piece hooks onto and holds the top drawer itself. The plastic piece has a metal bar attached and WHEELS/ ROLLERS SCREW onto the bar at each end. These wheels roll inside the rails allowing the drawer to slide out evenly. The rails are fine! I NEED ONE OF THE SCREWABLE WHEELS/ ROLLERS. The tip on the wheel that accepts the screw has broken off. The screwable roller/ wheel is what I need but can't find in your parts list. Please help!!! Dishwasher Maytag QuietSeries 300.
Answer Georgia, A couple of things, First, If you look closely, I think you'll find that the wheels are "rivetted" on the metal support leg, not screwwed on. There are several rack adjuster versions, and they aren't interchangeable, and a couple have been discontinued, so it's very important to have the model number off the serial plate, located in the top, left hand side of the tub flange or door, to assist you properly. Thanks and good Luck
These clips fall off easily. Would there be a problem with tie-wrapping them to the rack as long as there were clearance for the wheel to spin freely?
Answer Hi Fooby. The clips should hold to the rack normally. The outer finger tabs should hold indefinately. However It is possible to use a "temperature " rated tie wrap as ling it is trimmed and not interfering with the wheel as you mentioned. The roller stud part # is WD12X10277. Thank you.
First, Thanks for answering my question on the rollers but, now I think the door seal maybe worn because I find water on the floor. I have wiped the seal and it stopped but now it is leaking again. Should I replace the door seal?
Answer John. I doubt you need the door gasket, unless there is a torn or missing spot in the gasket. You may want to check the plastic corner baffles, make sure they haven't been dislodged. Check the lower spray arm for debris in the "jet" openings and cracks in the seams. You're more likely to find your issue there then the door seal. Thanks and Good Luck.
