How do I install the front drum felt seal?
Beth for Model Number dbvh512efoww
Answer Hi. The drum felt part # WE9M30 is placed long ways on the bottom /half of the front panel. The front top support assy. part # WE3M26 as well as the rear bearing assy. part # WE25M40 will keep the drum riding level and square once again. Thank You.
Does the felt WE9M30 lay in the track long ways or flat? Meaning and I think long is right that would make more area on the side of the drum. Or flat to make it seal the front of the drum?

Jim for Model Number dbsr453eb3ww
Answer Jim, There could be an issue with the rear drum bearing assembly WE25M40, but there should also be some sort of a noise. You could also have a lint build up inside the cabinet, or something in the air that gets singed when pulled over the heating element and into the drum. Thanks
The felt drum seal seems a litle long. Should I leave it that way or cut it to fit? Thanks
Dave for Model Number DPXQ473ET5WW
Answer Hello Dave, The drum felt seal WE9M30 should not need to be cut. You will need to leave it the length it is.
I replaced this part already about two months ago. The felt just stretched out and got thinner until it stopped working. I am wondering if there could be a second issue that I am not seeing that would cause the seal to wear out so fast. How do I determine if the bearings are worn out? Could the bearings be a cause for the felt strip to wear out so quickly?
James for Model Number DHDSR46EG1WW
Answer Hi James. Yes excellent question. There is a rear bearing that wears out the level "sealed" drum areas. This is centered in the back of the drum and replaced by bolts. It is a ball style part # WE25M40. It has a cup receiver that the ball will be lubricated and set into the cup that is bolted to the dryer cabinet back. Then you need to decide if your drum uses either white part # WE1M504 or green part # WE1M1067 drum glides in the front drum bearing assy. You may need to replace the whole front drum bearing assy part # WE3M26 altogether. The front felt needs to be glued on and then wait 24 hrs for the glue to dry. Use a putty knife to aid in removal. Felt seal part # []. All of this is possibly worn faster because your entire vent system needs cleaned and you make sure that you do not kink the vent after it is fully pushed back into place. You need to use rigid flex metal vent, not plastic. You need to clean and make sure your outside vent hood/cap works correctly open and closed. Do this 4-5x /yr. Thank You.

What material is used to make a dryer drum gasket? I know it is felt, but there must be more to it. Thank you
Lisa C. for Model Number lg dryer
Answer Hello Lisa. We do not have the information from the manufacture on what is used to make the felt seal WE9M30. You will need to contact the manufacture for this question. Thanks.
On this dryer, does the felt seal need adhesive or will it hold in place without it, and does the felt wrap around at the top in any special way?
Bill S. for Model Number DHDSR46GG1WW
Answer Hello Bill. It does not need adhesive to attach to the duct assembly. Here is a link to the part picture WE14M92, you can see how it is installed. Hope this helps.
