Answer Hello Moochie. Unplug the water line from the bottom of the door and see if you get water there when you press the paddle. If so, you will need the heater kit for the door. It is frozen. if there is no water there, and there is power to the water valve, replace the valve on the unit. Ohm reading will vary, but power it true test. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Erin, You will want to check for power to the water valve when the dispenser is depressed. If there is power but no water coming out hten you would need to replace the water valve [AP3672839. There should be 120 vac at the water valve when dispenser is depressed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Erin, You most likely have a failed inlet water valve WR57X10012 "Probably" a normal failure, not really due to the iron content of the water. You'll need to move the refrigerator away from the wall, turn the water supply off, and unplug the power cord to replace the valve. As long as you're behind the refrigerator you may want to install an "in line" water filter 4392949 on the supply tube, to remove the iron and other minerals and chemicals from the water supply to the refrigerator.

Answer Hello Bill. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
