We have an 11 year old GE side by side and had the ice maker replaced a couple days ago. Approximately how long should it take to make a full box of ice? It is about 2/3 to 3/4 full after 2 days. Thank you.

My ice maker is not making ice. I have replaced the filter and have water to the dispenser in the freezer door. For the last year, the icemaker would not shut off making ice, so I would turn it on and off using the power switch. Is it likely that I now need a new icemaker, or could their be another problem?

Previously you told me to cycle the icemaker...what do you mean by that? How do I do that? Unfortunately, I have the Multi-meter but don't know how to use it and don't have instructions. Can you direct me on how to use it?

My icemaker inside the freezer (no door water/ice dispenser). It is not getting water. I added water to the icemaker and it made ice and dumped it. Water appears to be getting to top of the freezer but will not enter the icemaker. I did notice that there is a small leak where the water hose enters the freezer. I thought it might have been frozen and applied heat from a hair dryer but this did not solve the problem. Is there a valve up there and/or do I have to replace the entire unit??? Thank you

I have replaced my ice maker and water valve in my Hotpoint refrigerator, but the ice maker filling tube keeps getting ice build up and will freeze solid. What should I check next?

I went to check ice yesterday and the STOP lever had raised about an inch or two and was stopped there. The prongs (whatever they are) in the back were up a few inches also but everything is locked. I tried using a hair blower to make sure that nothing was frozen and stopped the levers from moving. No results. I don't mind replacing the icemaker if necessary.

The flipper on the icemaker is in the out position, is it supposed to be? What does it do and if it needs to be in what holds it there?

Our 5-1/2-yr-old GE Profile side-by-side dispenses water fine, but is not making ice. How can I decide whether to replace the ice maker or the dual inlet water valve (both repairs look pretty straightforward)? One response to a previous question asked if water is getting up to the ice maker - what is the best way to test for this (i.e., is the fill tube frozen or is water just not coming up from the valve)? I tried using a hair dryer on the inlet to the ice maker, and that did not seem to help. I poured water into the ice maker and it is still liquid after nearly 4 hours (freezer temperature is 0 F), so I'm suspecting that the ice maker is not getting cold enough and that it is probably the faulty part. What else should I do to diagnose the cause of the problem? Thanks for the help!

Icemaker wasn't making ice. Replaced the WR30X10044 with a WR30X10093. It made ice for 4 days perfectly and on the 5th day it had ice all over the ejector arm and it froze into one big clump of ice during harvest. Any suggestions? Did I not have the rotating ejector arm in the correct position when I installed it? Thanks
