Our dishwasher seems to stop drying. We have the heated dry on and the dishes will still be damp/wet when done with the cylce. The dishwasher is about 7 1/2 years old. Also would this be covered under the warranty?
Answer Hello Bob. Warranty will need to be checked with the manufacturer. Test the heater and thermostat and see if they are closed for continuity. If so, then they are good and you need to replace the control in the unit.
After all cycles finished there is a lot of water on the bottom of the dishwasher. What part do I need to solve this problem?
You will want to check the drain pump to make sure that there is no clog. The failure will most likely be either the drain solenoid or the motor.
When running dishwasher smells like a componant/part is burning. What could be causing the problem?
Answer Hello Pedro. Check and make sure nothing is next to the heater and is melting in the unit. Also, make sure the element is not burnt into on the dishwasher. If something has melted onto the element WD05X10009, you will need to replace the element in the unit. Hope this helps.
How does one install a new heating element?
Answer Hello Richard. First disconnect the power going to the unit. Then pull the unit out about 6 to 8 inches to access the wires and nuts for the heater assembly. Remove the wires and nuts, and lift the old heater out of the dishwasher. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
