The complete serial number for our GE range is JBC26055WH. The serial number is FG1674526. Is this the same model as JBC26X55? Is the gasket WB2X1522 the correct replacement part for the oven gasket that fits around the inner oven liner? Do I pull out the inner liner slightly to seat the gasket? How is the inner liner attached to the outer oven walls (what screws do I remove to pull out the inner lining)? The perimeter of the inner oven lining is 78 inches but the gasket is only 66 inches - Do I leave a foot at the bottom of the oven unsealed? Thanks.

Hello, The oven door gasket WB2X1522 does not go around the entire rib of the inner core. GE told me this was the correct part number. I loosened the core nuts and pulled the core out about 1 inch but the gasket would need to be stretched substantially to go completely around the core. We bought the stove used and there was very little of the old gasket and I assume the area that doesn't need sealing is the bottom. I can feel three vent like areas in the bottom of the frame the oven core slides into. Can you tell me if I'm missing something? Also, the area at the top middle has a V shape that is filled with fiberglass insulation and needs to be replaced. Is this standard pink insulation? What is there is half missing or compressed and the top of the stove will get hot above that area. Thank you for your time. Greg C.

Looking for a compatible replacement oven compartment seal/gasket. The seal is NOT on the door. Also the Model Number may be JBS26OV24D not able to read accurately. Measurements of gasket may be helpful (ours is missing) Thanks in advance

I can't fnd my exact model number in your list for an oven door gasket. But a model number close to mine lists a gasket that looks very much like my bad one. I don't suppose there is a way to know unless I actually buy the gasket and hope it fits.
