Is the hood damper assembly, the exhaust assembly, and damper combined or do I need to buy Both?
Answer Hello Paul,
The hood damper assembly is the part that fastens to the microwave. When the unit is installed, it lines up with the exhaust ducting. The actual "damper" is the flapper shown in the picture of the part.
I have a over the range microwave model JVM1750DM1BB that is set up for recirculating exhaust. I want to convert it to overhead outside exhaust. What parts do I need.
Answer Hello Bill,
You will need no parts to convert it short of the ducting material. Simply drop the unit and remove the screws holding the flapper and fan assembly. Rotate the fan motor so it is facing either the rear or the top, (depending on which way it will blow to the vent), and re-assemble.
I am reinstalling my GE over the range microwave (JVM1350SY), this time with an outside vent. However, I do not have the adapter and damper to connect the ductwork to the microwave.
I plugged in my model number and this part came up (WB06X10436). It looks like the frame and damper assembly. However, when I double check my model number on the part specific page, it says this part is not compatible.
1) How come the part is listed as compatible when I plug in my model number, but when I check on the part specific page it says incompatible?
2) If it is compatible, is this the part I need (frame and damper combined?)
Answer Bob, the hood damper assy WB06X10436 is the correct replacement part and will fit your model JVM1350SY*. The model supplied, JVM1350SY, is a partial model number. Our compatibility tool only recognizes full model numbers tied to parts. Yes, you will need the frame and damper. Hope this helps you. Thanks!
I am looking for microwave hood damper assembly to vent it out. I think part no. is WB2M2567
If in stock what is the price with shipping to Toronto and how long would it take?
Answer Hello Abbas. Based on the model number, WB06X10436 is the correct damper assembly. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside of the US at this time. We will need a US physical address to ship parts to. Thanks.
