"Dryer runs, no heat"- My dryer has a viewer hole located at the front underside to check the function of the ingnitor and flame with a mirror. I see an orange glow which lasts 5 seconds every 30 seconds. I do not hear a flame igniting. Hope this helps to diagnose.

Trying to troubleshoot the "dryer runs, no heat" issue. Replaced the ignitor, but that wasn't it. The Troubleshoot section of the Owner's Manual says to check two fuses. Where are these fuses located? Are they located in the dryer unit itself? Thanks.

How long should the coil glow orange? The coil on my dryer glows orange for about 5 seconds and does not ignite when I have the side panel off. When it is on hot air comes out but then turns mild shortly after.

Our GE Adora dryer sensor dry setting stopped working a year ago but if we used the time dry it worked fine until a few weeks ago. While in the sensor mode it ignites and it will heat up for a few seconds and then the dryer stops. If you use the time mode it only occasionally will heat up. Curious if it's the igniter, coil, fuse, thermal fuse?

Hello, my gas dryer is not heating up!!! It's trying every 15 to 30 seconds to kick on, I can here a little rattle sound for 5 seconds then kicks off from trying to ignite. Drying still runs though. I let the dryer sit for an hour or so then it started heating up again. I'm no pro at all, but I have changed a igniter before and coils too. Does this sound like coils to You?? Well that lasted for five minutes now no heat again!!! Thank You my Friend.

When the gas dryer starts I can hear the flame come on for about 10-30 seconds and then the flame shuts off, but the dryer will continue to run. I suspect it is some sort of sensor, but would like verification.

Attempting to troubleshoot a "dryer runs, but no heat" situation on my GE DDG7080S. Have the front panel off, and the two electrical fuses and the flame sensor all have continuity. Can I check the ignitor simply by checking for continuity, or should I run the dryer to see if it glows? This begs the question of whether or not it is safe/advisable to briefly run the dryer with the front panel removed and the door switch jumpered(so that I can see the ignitor)? Also, does this dryer have a thermal fuse, and if so, where is it located? I can't seem to find one on any of the diagrams available on the internet. I understand that the other possible culprit of this situation would be one of the two solenoids. It is also my understanding that there is no reliable test for them other than process of elimination. Is this true?

No glow on ignitor. I have 235 volts comming to the connector. Bake ignitor measures about 350 ohms on digital tester, when I checked the ignitor for continuity at the sound setting. No breaks visible on coil of ignitor, but insulation has fine cracks. Shouldn't I get some glow since I get a resistance reading?

I turn on the dryer and it runs for about three or four minutes them shuts off, and the light on that says clean lint tray comes on. I cleaned everything, pulled dryer out cleaned vent tube, even pulled off the front and cleaned by the exhaust fan. Still its shuts off. But when I use time dry it works fine. What could it be. Please help. Thanks, rja.
