When cleaning either oven unit, can feel the surrounding wood frame get very hot. Fan in upper unit never comes on; lower unit fan seems to work OK.
Answer Hello John,
The only fan that should matter during self clean or when baking without the convection feature is the one in the top of the unit (AP3204890). This fan is turned on and off by a thermostat and you should hear it running for some time after the unit has been turned of. Its' only purpose is to keep the on-board electronics cool.
I am getting an F1 error and an alarm goes off on the upper portion of my double oven. I was going to replace the ERC Limit Switch.

Top left hand side limit switch shows open cntinuity, but oven works on bake and broil both. Initial problem start after self cleaning and control give a code 7. I reset power couple of time also. Any idea why oven is working with limit switch open?
Answer Hi Asif. There are 3-thermal switches with your model. One is in line with the fan motor. The other one is in line for your door lock/unlock switches. Part # WB24K5033. This is found on the wiring diagram. They were not specified to what one is the top, but my thought will be to see if the door lock (clean mode) works.Part #WB24K5085. If it does then check the conv. fan mode as well. Or use electrical tape to bypass the wires to see what circuit will momentarily work. (Remove power first, then connect wires together). Thank You.
