I haven't used my dishwasher in a little over a year.... When I tried to run it today it would not wash or circulate water. It will fill to the proper water depth and drain all the water properly, however, the water just sits there in between. I cleaned everything out and all looked good. The circulation pump gets warm/hot, but does not circulate water and no noise is made other then the initial filling and ending draining of the washer. Does this sound like a bad circulation pump or is this anything else I can check first? Thanks!

This dishwasher is 9 years old very noisy when it is washing dishes. The noise has been progressively getting louder and now is not washing dishes very well. I feel it is the pump/motor assembly. Am I on the right track? The new pump is around 225.00 is it worth to fix or buy a new dishwasher.

The dishwasher was leaking on the floor. I took it apart and replaced the connector pump assembly and that took care of the leak. While the dishwasher was apart, I cleaned all filters and made sure they were aligned correctly using your diagram as a guide. Now the water pressure isn't high enough to turn the spray arms. They do turn easily without any restriction when manually turned. The dishwasher fills with water and does drain the water; that makes me think the pump is working...but what else could it be?

Water won't drain at all... When my dishwasher reaches the point in the cycle where it is supposed to drain the water, it just sits quiet. At the end of the cycle it is full of water. The pump itself gets very hot to the touch when it is supposed to be working. There seems to be nothing obstructing the hose, as I can suck the water out through the hose with a shop vac. There was , however, a loud grinding noise that happened during the last cycle the pump worked. Does this sound like a bad pump or a jammed impeller or something completely different?

Water does not spray dishes. I can see water covering screen area on bottom but not covering heat element. Water drains out when I push reset to cancel wash. I don't use dishwasher much and put bleach water in to kill small flies that were laying eggs while not in use.

Wands do not turn. Water enters but there does not seem to be enough pressure. Can't remove filter basket over sump to see if it is plugged.

Hi again, it looks like the part # referenced for the pump impeller assembly and seal are for a different motor. Is it possible to change the pump impeller assembly on part AP3192237 without buying a whole motor? I don't see any way to get the assembly apart.

Hello, I just replaced part 455 on the motor/pump diagram. It had a hole and was spraying water everywhere under the washer. That was a successful fix. However, now there is a very loud noise, presumably coming from this motor (as far as I can tell). Could the bearings or something be shot from getting wet? I'm not 100% sure where the sound is coming from, but I think it is this part. The sound is constant during the wash cycle. Not exactly grinding or humming, but sort of in between. Thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions!

My dishwasher doesn't empty completely. How do I remove the pump and/or check to see if it is working? I have very, very hard water. I have to continually use clr to clean out mineral deposits. Could I just have a clog, if so, how do I clean out pump?
