Hello, my GE Hydrowave stopped spinning and agitating. I pulled the front cover off to check it out. The green light was flashing 4 times, indicating mode shifter failure. Then i checked the continuity on the shifter connector and it was open, so i replaced the mode shifter shaft/tube ASM. I powered the washer back up and it still wouldn't spin or agitate. The green light still flashes 4 times. I tried the reset procedure (un-plug, wait a min, re-plug, open/close lid 6 times in 12 sec) a couple of times to no avail. I checked the continuity again on the newly installed mode shifter and it's 67.1 @ 75 degrees. What does this mean? Please help... Thank you...

Yes I was reading somebody question about the 6 flashing green LED, indicating motor failure. But I am also having the same problem but I am reading 68 ohm on my test of the shaft circuit plug, you said that the reading is 98 ohms normal at temperature of 77, how important is this to check the shift coil before I purchase a motor . Thank you for a reply

I am getting the 6 flashing green LED, indicating motor failure. But I am also not reading anything on my OHM test of the Shaft circuit plug. Not sure what my bad part is, and don't want to buy one when I really need the other.

The washer does not always spin dry. I removed the front cover and disconnected the cables from the motor inverter, hopeing to "reset the system". It worked for several cycles. Now it is back to intermittent , not spin drying. Motor , board, or mode shifter?

Very helpful information. I can rotate the agitator and drum by hand in either direction quite easily. The big pulley with belt turns freely in either direction also. I seem to have a 6 Flash error code which, as I understand it, means my motor is bad. Makes me angry as this unit (model # WHRE5550K2WW) is only 2 years old with light to moderate use. Both the shifter coil and fuse harness passed a continuity test. Should I check anything else before spending big bucks on a new motor? Thank you!

It will noT fill with water and I replaced the inlet valve but no luck. the motor flasher half second on then off repeatedly. Will agitate and pump out water but not spin. Filed manually. It seems to stop between cycles and knob has to be turned manually.
