no blinks...first step...fuse harness?
Answer Hello Brian,
If the inverter motor does not have any blinks to it the first thing you will want to check is the inline 10 amp fuse in the wire harness. If failed then needs to be replaced.
Looking for replacent plug connector for this motor, specifically the blue one. Appliance store cannot find a part number
Answer Hello Dugan. Sorry, but GE does not offer their wiring harness for this unit. You will need to contact the manufacture.
I have replaced motor. How do I get the belt back on?
Answer Hello Jim. Start the belt WH01X10302 on the small pulley and roll the belt onto the large pulley. These are very tight and can be hard to do.
The motor does not run. There's no led anywhere. It goes through the cycle but nothing moves.
Answer Hello Jim,
If there is no green flashing light under the shield on top of the motor, the thermal link WH49X10055 has probably gone open. If the tub turns freely, the motor and board assembly WH20X10076 will require replacement. If you just replace the thermal link, it will go open again normally in the first wash. Both parts require replacement at the same time to protect the new thermal link.
My washer will not spin or agitate. All of the other functions seem normal. The motor control board is blinking normal, 1 sec on, 1 sec off. I checked the lid switch and it's ok. I checked the fuse link and it's ok. Is there anything else to check before investing in a new motor?
Answer Hello Derrick,
I would try removing the pressure switch hose at the tub and put the unit where it should spin. Blow in the hose to send the pressure to the switch. If it still doesn't agitate and you're sure the lid switch is good, the motor is the only way to go. (The flashing light would not flash if the fusible link were bad). Let us know if we can assist you further.
