Small element on duel burner inoperative. Selector switch works. I do not have a schematic to check the burner element. Is it probable that the control board is defective? If so, do you have a part # for the board? The range is a GE model JBP67BOK4KT
Answer Hello Rampage,
The control board is not in that circuit so it will not be an issue in this case. I would recommend to remove the surface element and inspect it. You can normally see the burned place in the ribbon element. If the infinite switch is in fact operating correctly, you would need to replace the element WB30T10044.
The Fridge climbs to 50 and then sometimes cools back to 40 and under. I replaced the fan a year ago and it worked fine until 2 weeks ago. I took the fan out and pulled the blade a little forward. Do you think it's the fan or?
You will want to check the thermistors on the unit to make sure that they are within range. The range should be as follows: @ 0 degrees 42.2K ohms, @ 37 degrees 14.4K ohms and @ 77 degrees 5K ohms. If outside of range then would need to replace the thermistor. If the fan is ramping up and down then the control board would be the issue. Check the coils to make sure that they are not clogged with dust. Check to make sure that the condenser fan is running.
Need a new oven control. Off/Clear button does not work any more. Live in small town. If order part - can it be installed easily?
Answer Hello Sarah. The control board WB27T11311 is not hard to replace in the unit. If the button is not working, you will need to order and replace the control on the unit.
The "Up" arrow that controls the oven temp and the timer is only working intermittently; everything else seems to work fine. Do I have to replace the whole control panel to fix this?
Answer Hello Kevin,
You will want to check to make sure that you have a fully seated ribbon cable to the control board. If this is good then you will need to replace the control panel.
My GE range keeps flashing a F7 error and beeping. Based on what I am seeing online, this means that the electronic range control needs replacing. Is this the correct part to order to resolve this issue?
