I need step-by-step instructions on how to install the tube, model # AP2065182, on my GE refrigerator, model # ZFSB23DND SS. My tube has split in two. Thank you.
To install this tube you will need to make sure that you have at least 1 5/16" to 5/16" adapter. You will then need to pull the unit out and shut the water off. Remove the cover over the compressor. remove the water valve and disconnect the tubing from the valve of the tube that split. Go to the front of the unit and remove the crisper drawers and crisper shelving. Cut pull the water line through that is split and cut it below where it connects to the water tank leaving enough room for the connector so about 2 to 3 inches left. Once this is done you connect the 5/16" connector to the tubing off the tank and the new tubing that you are installing and push through the floor and reconnect to the water valve. and reassembly the unit.
I was wondering how I can replace the water tube between the water filter and water dispenser?
Answer Hello Kambiz. The water line inside the freezer door is part of the door and you will need to order the door assembly on the unit.
We have a water/ice maker refrigerator. The problem is that the line that connects from the water supply to part 810 (water tank) got broken due to over heat. The question is can we replace the tubing from the water supply that goes from the water tank to the outside into the valves (blue colored) or do we have to replace the full water tank. Thank you.
Answer Carmen, The best, and most permanent option is to replace the tank and tubing WR17X11440. You can repair the tube, using a length of same sized tubing (usually 5/16" diam.) WR17X1483 and a "john guess" coupling 2300868, if there is enough undamaged tubing at the water tank. You forgot to attach a model number to your post, so the numbers listed, are for reference only, you'll need to verify sizes and parts needs by the model number of your refrigerator.
