Hi I have a stove top that was gas and turned to LP when our house was build. We have natural gas now and want to covert it back. There are 2 conversion orifices under the stove and the 1 attached to the Gas Pressure Regulator. Do I need more orifices?
For the Natural gas orifices for the main top you will need for the Left front [WB28T10014], Left rear [WB28T10015], Right front [WB28T10027], and Right rear and center [WB27T10028]. You would install theses orifices and flip the regulator cap from LP to natural.
Recieved regulator WB19T10078..How do convert this to propane...Thanks bob
To convert the regulator, you will unscrew the cap and there is a pin in there. Flip the pin over and the regulator will be converted.
When I turn on 1 burner gas is coming out of the other 3 burners that are not on. Is this the pressure regulator causing this and what's the fix for this? This is a Viking 4 burner gas cooktop.
With this issue, the regulator would not be the cause for the gas to come out of all the burners when 1 is turned on. Each burner has its own gas valve and they are all attached to the manifold. Gas is in the manifold at all times and is supplied to all valves at all times. If the valves were leaking then it would be the valve that was the issue. Since it only happens when you turn one valve on then you will want to look for a leak in the gas lines of the valves under the cooktop.
How do I convert my pgp966set1ss cook top to LP and what parts do I need?
Answer Hello Bob,
We have located the instructions for converting your unit to LP. If you could please re-post with a valid e-mail address. we can get those to you. They cannot be posted in this format. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
What do I need to do to convert this model to LP gas? Thanks.
Answer Hello Darwin! You will need to order three medium orifices part number WB28K5095 and one small orifice part number WB28K141. To convert the oven, you will have to refer to your use and care guide. Thanks!
I need a new regulator. It says I need part # wb19t10035. Do you have it in stock?
Answer Hello Gerry. No, wb19t10035 is a special order part, and is only ordered from the manufacture when an order is placed.
Stove top seems to be okay. When running, the boiler emits a gas odor but burns. The regular oven is difficult to get started. Heat is not consistent. Seems to start only when stove top is on. Could this be the regulator?
Answer Hello Jeff,
As per a service bulletin put out by GE, consumers have reported delayed oven ignition events on certain slide-in ranges. The symptoms of these events may vary from a gas smell when the oven is turned on, to an ignition that causes the oven door to open. It typically occurs
when the oven is initially activated from a cold condition, and may or may not be easily duplicated. We have found that these symptoms occur where air intake to the range is restricted.
To correct this situation, replace the oven control WB27T11252 for these ranges. The new oven control delays the cooling fan from coming on immediately which allows improved air intake to the range.
Note: Check if leveling legs removed. For proper airflow into the oven and proper installation of the anti-tip bracket, the leveling legs must be present. In addition, installation of the leveling legs is required to attach the range anti-tip bracket, which is a required safety feature. Without a properly installed anti-tip bracket, children or adults putting weight on the door could cause the range to tip resulting in serious injury or death. If the distance from the countertop to the floor is less than 35-3/4” as specified in the installation instructions, the range may not sit flush with the countertop.
