My wager won't drain the water in the tub, what part would I need to purchase to fix this problem?
Answer Hello Steve. Check and see if the pump Is clogged. If not, and there is power to the pump but it does not drain, replace the pump 280187 on the unit.
Hello, What's the difference between these two parts. WH23X10015 and WH23X10030? One is cheaper, but is the performance less?
I'm replacing a drain pump. Thanks.
Answer Cat, part number WH23X10015 is a drain pump and motor assembly and WH23X10030 is the pump only. According to the model number supplied you'll need to use part number WH23X10015 to meet the specs of your appliance. Thanks.
My washer will wash and drain the water, but when it starts to spin it will spin for 3 or 5 seconds and stop. The washer is level and the pump keeps running but does not spin. The timer keeps going because after a while the tub starts filling up for the rinse cycle. Thanks for your help.
You would want to access the wiring diagram and put the unit through the field service test. This allows functional checking of components. The issue could be with something caught between the tubs of the unit. It could be an issue of the brake not fully releasing and allowing spin. Also check the lid switch to make sure that it is working properly.
My washer will not drain, it will spin but it will just not drain. Help please
Answer Hello Josh,
This is usually caused by the drain pump WH23X10015 being clogged with debris or the drain pump has failed.
My washer will not drain. It only humms when its time to drain and spin.
Answer Hello Michelle. If the unit is humming and the tub and motor are not locked up, you will need to replace the control WH12X10176 in the unit. If the motor is locked up and only turns one way, you will need to replace the motor assembly.
