I have a older Kenmore Dishwasher, Model 363.1404595, S/N SR312958R, that is in need of two upper rack slide stops. I recently visited a local shop in hopes of locating an old/used pair but the dealer told me that the parts are no longer manufactured. But he would give me a "good deal' on a new dishwasher. If my racks were rusted out I might consider replacing the unit, but it's a good working unit ... any suggestions? Joe

I am trying to remove the upper try cap to install new roller,you saying to release the clips,what tool should i use?Do do they pop out or do i push in to release?Do the caps come in one piece or two?

Answer Alfred, The end cap is a "single piece" component. You may find it easier to use a small flat blade screwdriver to press on the retainer clip, protruding through the slot in the metal rack slide and pull out on the end cap to remove it.

You showed me a pictue of ap4484666. It is definitely not like the original 9 one ofwhich is still on my dishwasher. that one has an opening on the slide to snap it through on the outer wall side. The cap has 2 sections that protrude on the inside of the slide. My question is can you find me the correct ( I call it end cap?) Thanks

I too cannot remove the (upper tray) rack slide end cap. The above answer states there is a retainer clip, but the pic on your parts page does not show a retainer clip nor does a visual check show one either. Instead it appears some portion of the end cap should compress to release from the track, but I've been unable to remove the end caps. Appreciate your help. bill

For GEH Rack slide end cap (Part Number: AP4484666). How do you get these out so that I can put the new rollers on I am going to order from you? I am scared of breaking them.

Answer Hello Kelly. The end caps on the rail are secured with retainer clips. You will need to release these clips to remove the end caps. You can see the clips in the pictures on the parts page. They are in the middle of the end caps. Hope this helps.
