My ice maker will not switchover from crushed ice to whole ice. I watched it from the inside and it looks like it doesn't have enough power to lift the arm up to make the switch over.

My ice maker will make ice, but the thing inside will not turn to make ice come out though the door. What is wrong? It will just click.

Water and icemaker quit. There is water from filter down to solenoid. Any way to check solenoid or should I just replace it?

I recently replaced the solenoid assembly. I've noticed that the solenoid doesn't always activate. Is this normal operation? Should do the moving parts require lubrication? I can move the parts by hand, sometimes it takes moderate force.

I have ordered this solenoid due to the original ( WR62X0058 ) failing. The new parts pin has a hole and no slot for the location the original was in to fit it. And the mounting bracket is different and I don't see this fitting. Could you inform me of any installation changes? I've been told that the original has been discontinued so there may be changes.

Recently our ice maker wasn't dispensing ice, the auger motor was not turning, but the Crushed/Cubed Ice Solenoid was working. We dismantle the housing of both and tested for continuity, everything was fine, motor and solenoid worked when directly applied power from socket, but on refrigerator only one connected at one time worked . We tested solenoid only and motor only is this related to the board being bad? Cause sometimes either one when testing alone wouldn't work and changing between crushed ice or cubed, it would work. But both never work at same time.

My question is in regard to the ice dispenser. The motor in the back doesn't rotate. The solenoid assembly seems to work fine and I think is unrelated. When I push the button I hear and see the solenoid arm assembly lift. I then just get a buzzing/humming sound, but the motor doesn't turn. The motor is not frozen and I can turn it w/o it feeling like it sticks or jams. I then took the motor out and tested it on my work bench by applied 110V to the 2 spade connectors and the motor works fine and does't act like it is meeting resistance at the motor or the gear box. I am at a loss. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ken K.

I have been having trouble with my ice delivery system, which I believe is the old type which has apparently been re-designed. I replaced the helix blade(?) and augur nut because the unit was no longer feeding ice. The helix was "'free wheeling". It now feeds ice, but it will not crush - only cubes, in either crushed or cube mode. When I disassembled the unit again today, the augur nut had worked its way up the threaded shaft. The previous nut had done the same thing. I can't figure out why this is happening. Today, I epoxied the nut in place at the end of the shaft and re-assembled the unit. Now, I believe the dispenser solenoid has quit working. The arm and door are free (loose), and seem to be working properly, but the solenoid doesn't raise the arm. Please advise.

The ice maker will only dispense crushed ice, no cubes. After much research and watching DIY videos, I'm pretty sure the issue is the crushed ice solenoid. However, I cannot get to it because the auger motor housing that contains the solenoid has a tube attached to it that I cannot see how to remove. The housing has one screw on the left side and just sits in a groove on the right side. There is a wiring harness in addition to the tube. None of the videos show this particular model. Some of the Q&A address this particular model but none have any specifics about removing the housing. Can you supply step by step directions for removing that tube, and therefore, the housing?
