How does the ice dispencer crush the ice?
Answer Hello Richard. The solenoid raises the cover, so that the ice has to go through the chopper blades to exit the dispenser. If the solenoid does not raise the cover, the ice will drop out of the large hole. Hope this helps.

Which solenoid controls the ice cubes maker?
Answer This is the solenoid that controls switching from crushed to cubed ice. However this control board WR55X129 is the controler for this solenoid and causes it to switch back and forth. Hope this helps.

Water dispenser on my GE Profile does not dispense any water or leaks and sometimes it will turn on and not shut off for 2 or 3 minutes, Please help me in determining what is wrong. We have already replaced the solenoid and the water inlet valve, which was replaced two years ago.
Answer Hello Edward,
You need to determine if a linkage or switch is sticking in the dispense area. If so, sometimes you can simply clean the sticky from splashed drinks from the linkages to correct the issue. Other times, the issue turns out to be a bad water valve WR57X10022 that is sticking. You should verify the water reservoir is not frozen and if the unit has a filter before the water line connects to the unit, it has been changed. If you have an on-board filter, it should be bypassed WR02X10173 before ordering any parts since it can cause the issue if it needs to be replaced. If that corrects the issue, the filter MWFP needs to be replaced.
Support Team-Yesterday I was "chatting" with Nathan on your team, and I described the issue I'm having with the ice maker unit in my refrigerator. He quickly diagnosed the situation and I really appreciated his help . The issue is puzzling me, and so before I place the order, I'd like confirmation from you on it too,
On the door of this side-by-side unit, I have the option to select water, crushed ice, or cubes. When I select the ice option, I only get crushed ice, never cubes anymore. The real issue is that in order to intiate ice deleivery, I have to open the door, stick a utensil in the chute to open the flap one time, clode the door, and then the unit dispenses crushed ice,
Nathan recommended replacing the solenoid - Part - WR62X107.
Please verify this as the fix for this solution, then I will place the order.
While the solenoid could be the issue for the door not opening. You will want to check the crush cube solenoid as well to see if it is getting power when the unit is selected for cubed ice. If not then the complete issue may be in the power supply board.
My ice maker is only dispensing crushed ice. How can I check if the problem is the solenoid or the board?
Answer Hello Rafael. You will test for power to the solenoid. If it is there and the solenoid does not move, replace the solenoid on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
The refrigerator no longer dispenses water. The model number of the refreigerator is TFX22KRDAWW. There is not any water filter on this refrigerator. The icemaker dispenses properly. What part should I be looking at changing?
You will want to check to make sure that the water valve for the dispenser is getting voltage when the dispenser is pushed. If it is getting power but not supplying water then the valve WR57X10051 is defective and would need to be replaced.
