Your answer to Dave for Model Number whse5240docc seems to answer my concern. There is mention of a "dome" pocket that collects lint, suds etc. I have cleaned the opaque hose but I can see debris in the dome. Is there a way o get into that "dome" pocket so I can get debris out?
Greg for Model Number Whdsr315daww (GE)
Answer Hello Greg,
There is no way to access the inside of the dome, but use of the pressure switch hose can be used to blow the debris out of the way. This is the only way to clear the opening short of "fishing" it clear with a nylon string or something equivalent. You cannot use anything that may puncture the tub or dome.
my washer only fills up with cold water, when its time for it to fill with hot, it doesnt, just cold comes out.
Mike for Model Number whse524od1ww
Answer Mike, you most likely have a faulty fill valve WH13X10024. But make sure you have hot water at the faucet and the fill hose and valve screens are not clogged with sediment from the water pipes/supply.
My washer fills up w/water then washes but won't drain! I'm guessing it's the pump!?

Answer Hello Greg. Test for power coming to the drain pump WH23X10013. If there is power there and not draining, replace the pump. If there is no power, make sure the lid switch is good and if so, replace the control WH12X10323. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I have replaced the pressure switch and the reason was because it was not stopping to fill at the correct water level. After replacing it, it is still doing the same. Could it be that the board is not working properly and needs to be replaced?
Willie for Model Number Wpse4200aoww
Answer Hello Willie,
The water valve is probably not closing. If you unplug the unit and the water continues to fill, it's the valve or the water pressure is low. If you unplug it and the water stops, then there is an electronic problem.
my machine does not fill with water.Repairman said it was mainboard. I ordered & replaced it but still does not fill just goes to wash cycle
Ralph for Model Number whre5550k2ww
Answer Ralph, You're on the right track, You need to check the air tube from the water level switch, for kinks and clogs(blow in the hose) first, then replace the water level switch. Thanks and Good Luck
My washer won't spin out correctly. I can flip all the dials to reset the system and sometimes that helps sometimes I just keep flipping till it spins. Is there a part I can order to fix this?
Billybob for Model Number whse5240d1ww
Answer Billybob, You may have a "sticky" lid switch assemblyWH12X10141 but, you need to check the drain hoses and drain pumpWH23X10013 and the water level switch air dome hose for clogs, kinks and twists, first. Thanks and Good Luck
The start button has gone out on my machine. What part do I need to buy?
Jenn for Model Number wsse4220a0ww
Answer Hello Jenn! If the start button needs to be replaced you will have to order the control assembly WH12X10169. Thanks!
The washer overflowed until it shut down. The timer didn't advance so I put the timer to spin and the timer still won't advance. Can the pressure switch cause the timer to lock out and stop advancing? Do I need a timer and a pressure switch? Thanks for your help.
Dave for Model Number whse5240docc
Answer Hi Dave. Access your back area of your panel and release the pressure hose from the pressure switch. Then blow back into the pressure switch and see if there are any obstructions. If there was then you will need to remove the inner basket and clean all the lint , build- up. There is a "dome" pocket on the side of your tub where the pressure hose plugs into. Here is where lint , debris, and soap suds will build up and cause over flow issues. If this does not cure the problem, then you will need pressure switch part # WH12X10093. Check to make sure your pump is cleared totally. This will stall the timer also. Thank you.
What do you have to take off to install the switch pressure part#AP2045923 on a GE washer?
Mike for Model Number wwre5240d1ww
Answer Hello Mike. You will need to remove the back of the control panel to access the pressure switch and replace it. Once you access the switch, you will need to remove the hose and wires from the switch and install them onto the new switch. Hope this helps.
