Oven temperature runs extremely hot and inconsistent. I'm thinking it might be the thermostat. I can't find on your website how to change it. The only instructions I can find talks about separating the connector. It doesn't appear on my model (WB20K3) to have one.
To replace the thermostat you would need to pull the unit out from the wall and remove the rear cover off the back of the control panel. This will give you access to the thermostat to be able to remove it. The probe will go in through back of the oven and clip on the inside of the oven.
The broiler works fine but the oven will only get to 300 degrees. Is this a thermostat or regulator problem???
Answer Hello Rick,
This issue would be the thermostat WB20K3 rather than the regulator. The regulator is there to allow a certain amount of gas to be able to come through to the unit. The thermostat is what actually controls the temperature.
Oven temperature varies significantly from what it is set at. Will changing the thermostat correct this problem?
Answer Hello J. Yes, if the thermostat WB20K3 is not reading the correct temperature in the oven, you will need to replace the thermostat. Hope this helps.
The red oven cycle light up top lights, but when on bake and set to any temp the oven doesnt work nor does the broiler. What could be wrong and what is the best sequence to troubleshoot the issue?
Answer Rich, Do the glow bar igniters glow"white hot" if at all ? It's not likely both igniters would fail simutaneously, but is a remote possibility. At this point, my guess would be a faulty control or switch and loose, damaged wire in the harness to the gas valve, igniter assembly. WB24K5 and WB20K3 Thanks and Good Luck
