The washer runs in all cycles except in spin cycle. I removed front cover and the belt is turning when in wash cycle. Is this a timer issue?
Answer Hello Felipe. Make sure the lid switch is good and the unit is pumping all the water out of the unit. Also, the pressure hose or air dome being clogged can cause this issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Began not finishing wash cycle, had to manually turn knob to continue rinse cycle. Now does not go into wash cycle but does rinse and spin cycle.
Answer Hello Frank. If there is power to the timer motor, and the timer does not advance, but if you turn manually it works, you will need to replace the timer WH12X10300 on the unit.
WHEN IT GETS TO THE SPINING MODE IT WILL STOP AND MAKE A HOMMING NOISE
Answer Pedro, First check to make sure there is nothing stuck between the tubs, if the washer fills, agitates and drains, then the timer would be the most likely issue.
will not wash or spin just makes humming noise
Answer Arnold, First, remove the drive belt from the transmission pulley, turn the transmission pulley several revolutions in both directions, this will verify a possible transmission issue. You can also attempt to run the motor in the spin cycle, with the belt off, If the motor runs, this would indicate a possible motor issue, if not you'd want to circuit check the timer contacts in both the agitate and spin cycles to verify the timer is not the issue. Thanks
MY WASHER WILL FILL WITH WATER, BUT WILL NOT AGGITATE. IT WILL DRAIN AND GO TO THE SPIN CYCLE AND REILL FOR RINSE AND THEN SPIN AGAIN
Answer Joe, You're on track. The timer is the most likely issue, there are three circuits through the timer to make it agitate, if one of the timer circuits is not "closed" the washer won't agitate. Replace the timer WH12X10300 and you should be fine. Thanks
