Order a piston & nut assembly form your company. When I installed it the DW still didn't drain, and after removing it I found a rubber gasket. Went back to your web site and found it to be part no 555 as indicated on the parts drawing. But what is strange is that part#555 is of a gasket shape, but what I pulled out was a solid rubber seal the size of a nickel, which was ripped. Question is what is the difference between the 2? Did this solid rubber gasket/washer come from some place else? GREAT SERVICE BY THE WAY.
Answer Hi. The nickel size rubber piece was the original shaft seal. It was supplied new in the kit you purchased in the new kit. Advance the timer into a pump drain area. Do you hear humming? Look at the drain solenoid valve part # WD21X802 to see if the plunger is not releasing and allowing the drain action. You can put your finger on the lever to actuate the valve to hear the pump out effect. If this is not it, make sure the drain hose at the sink is not clogged. Use a screwdriver in the sink end to verify the plumbing is not clogged there. Thank You.
Does this gasket go with the piston and nut? Thank you.
Answer Hello Justin. Yes, this is the gasket that seals the piston and nut assembly to the valve body. I hope this helps!
