Hi - GE Washing Machine problem is getting more frequent. The spin cycle, at high loads, will bang uncontrollably, until the machine is turned off. Smaller loads do not seem to have this problem as much, but it does seem to be getting worse and more frequent. The machine appears to already have the Conversion Apron installed, as it is a single, black piece. I don't see any bending or flexing when the machine is on. The Suspension Rods are all in tact, and none of the Dampening Straps are broken. Not sure where to start. We've had the washing machine for many years, and it would "bang" before, but only with a super-heavy towel load. Any suggestions?

We replaced the belt in April and it has slipped and shredded again. Noticed one dampening strap is broken. Could this be the cause of another broken belt so soon after replacement?

My washer has stopped spinning. I noticed the dampening straps are broken except for one. Could this be the problem? I was able to get it to spin if I moved the barrel around, but only once. It's as if its unbalanced. The rods are in tact though and belt is good too.

My washing machine (tub) wobbles at heavier loads, makes a racket. All the straps are in tact. Will replacing them help the problem even though they are not broken, do they get overstretched? Also, the upright rods are still connected. What else could it be? Thanks

The tub is tilted and sunken. 3 of the straps are broken. Does this indicate another problem or could it just be caused by the broken straps?

I just aquired this washer. I bought it used. I was told, by calling GE with the M# & S # that it was produced Nov, 2007. It is un-level in my utility room. The floor is a cement one, my former Maytag, had leveling legs to adjust it to make it run level, I was looking at your diagrams, & can't figure how to level this thing. Attempts to shove a 6X6 bathroom tile under the front right, doesn't want to work. It works right back out after a load has run. Since someone else put it in for me (I am a person that has some difficulty getting around well) I can't tell how it is made under the thing. I KNOW it isn't good for it to wobble while it is runnuing, especially on spin, & that it is already a used machine.
