The water inlet valve developed a very slow water leak. Do I have to buy the whole water valve or can the diaphragm inside be replaced?
Answer Hello Ray,
I'm sorry but there are no parts available to service a water valve WD15X10003. All you can do is replace the valve as a complete assembly.
No water comes into the machine when trying to wash dishes. Would this be a water inlet solenoid issue or something else? I would love any help. Thank you.
Answer Wayne, Yes, it could be a fill valve solenoid failure WD15X10003. But first, remove the float cover(one screw) and make sure you can lift the float [AP3184780} and it moves freely in both directions (up and down). Also listen for a faint "click" from the float switch WD12X10151 as the float lifts and down. If the float and switch check OK, replace the fill valve.
I replaced the water inlet valve due to no water coming into the unit. Tested the float switch and it is fine, also disconnected connection to the I let valve and ran through the drain cycle to get to a full cycle an am getting 120 volts to the inlet valve but I still am not getting water through the valve. Could I have a defective unit or could there be another problem?
With having 120 vac to the water valve, this should energize the valve to allow the water to come through. You will want to double check to make sure that the water is turned on at the supply and check to make sure that there is water getting to the valve. If the valve is getting water and getting power then the valve would be the defective and need to be replaced.
Dishwasher runs does not fill with the water. What is wrong?
Answer Hello Margaret. Check and see if the float is stuck in the unit. If not, then make sure the float switch is good. If so, then the water valve is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
