What is the circuitry on the AP4438395 (5007JA3006R) Cap Assembly? There is a two wire connector. What does it do?
Capn J. for Model Number 79577563600
Answer Hello Capn,
These are the wires to the ice door heater. I keeps the ice door warm enough to prevent moisture in the room air, (humidity), from condensing and puddling in the tray. Some units still use them and some models have dis-continued these.
At the ice dispenser the round plastic cover stays at the open position and air is coming in the freezer compartment, I have to push closed from under the ice dispenser to keeped closed all the way. Now I have another problem no water at the ice maker tray only water at the door dispenser, have any ideas?

Answer Hello Marco,
The dispenser door not closing would be either the solenoid 6421JB2002P or the ice door arm 5007JA3006R. You would want to pull the dispenser to check to see which. The icemaker issue would be an unrelated issue. You will want to put through test cycle to see if it goes into test mode. There should be a button at the bottom of the icemaker motor. Push button and this will allow unit to cycle. If unit cycles but no water then check to make sure that the fill tube is not clogged. If clear then you will want to check for voltage at the water valve 5221JA2006D. When the icemaker finishes cycle you should have 12 vdc at the water valve if no voltage then check the circuit at control board. If no power to valve still then you would want to replace icemaker 5989JA1005D.
I changed the ice maker already. Still no water or ice come out from dispenser. And it doesn't make ice. My husband believes that the cap is not working. Please help

Answer Hello Angela. You need to check and see if the water filter is good on the unit. If so, you may have a bad water valve on the unit. If there is power to the water valve and no water, you will need to replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Is there a video for this repair because I think some parts are missing like the funnel chute?
Don for Model Number lrsc21935tt
Answer Hello Don. No, there is no video of the installation. Sorry. If you look at the parts diagram page, you can see the parts listed in the dispenser assembly. 3016JA2002M is the funnel chute. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5520263&diagram_id=28700740
How to install door assembly part #5007ja3006r and remove cover to access part?
Don for Model Number lrsc21935tt
Answer Hello Don. Disconnect funnel and button assembly by pulling down
and forward. Remove display frame Assembly by making a gap
between a display frame Assembly and funnel
Assembly. with a blade screwdriver and pulling it
forward. The cover dispenser is attached with a hook. The Display Assembly can be connected by pressing
the top of the dispenser cover and pushing it after
separating the Display Frame from its housing. Loosen four screws with a phillips screwdriver and pull
the funnel Assembly to disconnect. The Duct Cap Assembly can be disconnected if the hold
lever connecting screw is loosened with a phillips driver. To install the Duct Cap Assembly 5007JA3006R, insert one end of the
spring into the right hole of the dispenser lever and
insert the other end into the right hole in the top part of
the dispenser. Then attach the holder at the solenoid
switch. Hope this helps.
