Hello. I need a Gasket Boot seal for my LG washer, WM0642HW. However, there are 4 gaskets available for this model that I have found : 1 - 4986ER0001A 2 - 4986FR0001A (note the F, not E) 3 - 4986ER0001B 4 - 4986ER0001C The problem with the description is that they simply say they have a drain hole or not. Some of them have a drain hole on the top, some have a drain hole on the bottom. The mold is made with nubs in each way and is punched out based upon need. You cannot plug a hole made in the wrong spot and without seeing the inside of the ring it is impossible to tell which plug has been punched and which has not. I tried ordering one that has a drain hole in the top and the bottom is plugged. What I need is a boot seal that has a solid top and a drain on the bottom to be punched. When looking at it inside the washer the triangular flap is at the 11-oclock position and the 6-oclock position has a drain hole and the 12-oclock drain hole is plugged/not punched. Which part # do you need, I do not want to keep trying by shipping it back and forth, raising the price of the correct part. Please help or provide more detailed images on the inside of the boot seal, please. Thanks.

Does the gasket need to be installed by a professional with certain tools? Or can a lay person install it?

I am planning to purchase a new door seal for our front load washer because mine is full of mildew that I can't remove with any cleaner! Do you have any suggestions to prevent this from happening to our new seal and is the musky smell on our clothes due to the nasty seal or do you think there's another problem somewhere else on our washer?

When the washer is used a thin stream of water leaks from the bottom of the door. I tightened all of the screws in the door, inner side, the hinge, and the latch or door lock. No help! Is it possible that the door seal needs to be replaced? Thank you. John

I bought a replacement door gasket but it has a hole at the bottom, with what appears to be a stem for a drain hose. After installing it, I realize the original must not have had this hole, as the washer now leaks. I'm looking to replace the gasket with one that does not have this hole. Does this item have the second hole, at the bottom beside the two rubber teeth? Thanks!
