I need a door boot seal for my LG WM0642HW s/n 609KWBY00205. I do not know if it has a drain port or not. I do not want to remove until I have the correct part to replace since I use my washer daily. Can you tell me the correct part number based on my model and serial #? Research has given me conflicting info. Thanks for your advice.

We ordered the door boot with the drain port accidentally, but now I can't find which boot we need. Can you help us? I'm assuming there is no way to retrofit the boot to a machine without the drain port, correct? Thanks!

I just changed my seal and bearing in my washer and in the process I noticed there was two small holes in the big rubber door gasket where the tub had rubbed through over time. It helped explain why it would leak a little once in a while. I did my research and ordered a new one (part# 4986ER0001A). I went to install it today and the new seal is different where it attaches to the old drum leading me to believe they changed the drum style at some point, maybe to deal with the mold issues. Anybody run into this or know what I am talking about or where to get a original fitting door seal?

The bearings went out on our LG front-loader washer. Wound up taking it completely apart & replacing the lower tub assembly. Went together fine, but I'm not sure about the door seal/gasket. Is the inner spring really going to keep the gasket in place. Seems like the gasket has a lip that fits over the lip on the tub, but the spring clamp is in front of this & not squeezing any part of the tub itself. See attached photo. Our seal also has 3 drain holes...with nothing to catch any water below them. See second attached photo. Is this right? I'm anxious about putting it all together, only to have it leak.

I have a small but steady leak during the rinse cycle that is located at 6pm right where my door boot seal is. I've read a few different possible solutions for the leak and wanted to know how I could narrow. I'm not sure if the door boot seal, door gasket, or hinges need to be replaced. Please let me know how I can single out the issue?

Which front door boot seal does this washer need? With or without drain tube? If you can't tell from the model number, do you have to take the seal out to see if it has a drain tube? Is the spring tool an absolute necessity to replace the boot seal? Many thanks.

The door boot seal in my LG front load washer has a tear in it and needs replaced. I see several variations talked about associated with LG WM0642HW, some w/ a drain hole(s), some w/ out. I've also seen comments indicating several drain hole options may exist. I need to know the correct model number for the boot seal. Mine has a single approx. 1/4 inch diameter hole at the bottom. Model WM0642HW/01 SN 907KWCF01059 Thanks.

Serial number 407kw00070 I have a leaking door seal. I do not see a drain at the bottom but there is a plugged hole at the top. Any idea what part I need? Lg says 4986ER0001C but I think that has a drain.
